Gozo’s Gaulitanus Choir, in collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, will be presenting a concert featuring a group of fourteen young singers from the Galina Vishnevskaya Operatic Academy of Moscow.The concert will be held on Sunday, 9th January at the Ministry for Gozo’s Exhibition Hall at 19.00hrs.Entrance is free.

The artists will perform operatic works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mozart, Varlamov and Vilboa besides some Russian and Naepolitan songs.On the request of the director of the Russian Centre, the Gaulitanus Choir itself will also be making a token appearance, presenting some of their lively repertoire.

The event will be held to celebrate the 85th birthday of Galina Vishnevskaya, the famous Russian operatic diva who has graced the world’s major theatres with her performances.
