Sun 17 – Strings for the Holy Week.
The Gaudos Quartet, a string quartet made up of 2 Hungarians, a Bulgarian and a Gozitan will give a concert at St. Francis Church Victoria at 20.00hrs. Being Palm Sunday, the first day in the Holy Week, the concert will feature Haydn’s famous "The Seven Last Words of Christ".
Wed 20 – Youth & Music
9 up-and-coming artists will present a vocal-instrumental concert at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria, at 20.00hrs. Matteo Galea, Laetitia Amodio, Nicole Vassallo, James Borg, Laura Cioffi, Clara Galea, Annabelle Zammit, Fabian Galea and Stephanie Portelli will perform piano solos and duets, flute duets and quite some vocal fare.
Sun 24 – An Easter Operatic Galore
The Bel Canto Ensemble (Italy) will interpret a variety of (mostly) Italian operatic numbers. The soprano, clarinet, horn & piano quartet will perform a pot-pourri of arrangements with the instrumental trio either accompanying the soprano or performing on its own. The concert will be held at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria, at 20.00hrs.
Tue 26 – A Treat of Light & Film Music
The Bel Canto Ensemble (Italy) – a quartet made up of a soprano, clarinet, horn & piano – will give a concert of light and Italian film music with works ranging from Gershwin to Lehar and Morricone. The instrumental trio interprets several of the arrangements as well as accompanies the soprano. The concert will be held at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria, at 19.30hrs.
Entrance for all concerts is free.
