The Gaulitanus Choir musically ushered in 2016 with the 4th edition of A New Year’s Toast, its annual J anuary 1st concert. This was held at the Hotel Kempinski San Lawrenz to a packed hall.

Entitled Singing for Peace: with International Christmas Songs, the concert aimed to transmit a sense of fraternity through the singing of Christmas songs from various countries, particularly in a world scenario where peace is very much threatened. Indeed, carols and songs from the British Isles, France, Austria, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Spain, USA and Malta were performed. Some numbers received their Malta premiere.
