The Gaulitana: A festival of Music continued this evening, Saturday 18th April 2009 at 20.00 hours with the presentation of the Gran Ballet Concert at the Aurora Theatre.

The Moscow Ballet presented a program selected from several world famous ballets such as Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, and Swan Lake (Russian Dance, Adagio and Danses des Cygnes). Besides these the ensemble also presented Puni’s Pas de quatre, Adan’s Pas de Deux from Giselle, Sedoy’s Ukrainian Dance Gopak, Helstedt Festival of Flowers in Genzano, the Adagio from Khachaturyan’s Spartacus, Saint-Saëns’ The Swan, the Adagio from Bizet’s Carmen, Pas de Deux from Adam’s Le Corsaire, the Adagio from Prokofiev’s Cinderella and the Grand Pas from Minkus’ Don Quixote.

The solosists for this ballet performance were: Natalia Kolosova, Daniil Kuryinov, Natalia Kleymenova, Anatoly Emelianov, Daria Makarova, Natalia Kolosova, Valeria Guseva, Sergey Zolotarev, Anastasiya Kachaeva, Svetlana Lobanova, Artem Horoshilov, Lidia Krivonosova, Daria Makarova, Galina Ahmetova, Zinaida Chugunova, and Galina Govanova.
The festival will continue tomorrow, Sunday19th April, at 17.00 hours with the unusual "Tea Concert: British Folk Music with Afternoon Tea" at the Hotel Ta’ Cenc in Sannat.
