Insegnamenti, dating to 1978 and also known as Il Cenacolo, was the main exhibit during the art exhibition Costanzo Rovati: Percorso di Vita put on at the Sentinella, Citadel, Victoria as part of the last edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music. After being also exhibited at the Gozo Ministry while several of the festival´s concerts were being held, this triptych was transferred to the Bishop’s Curia of Gozo, where it now hangs very prominently in the reception.
This work of art was donated to the Curia by the artist, through the Istituto Nazionale d’Arte Contemporanea and Gaulitana: A Festival of Music – who co-organized the art exhibition. It was officially presented to H.L.Bishop Mario Grech during the exhibition´s official opening on Palm Sunday, 25th March 2018.
The gift of the work – the result of human work and ingenuity –, in addition to realizing the high value of culture as a means of interaction between peoples, of collaboration between nations and of social growth, is a concrete sign of friendship towards the Gozitan community, which, through the Bishop’s Curia, will always have the work at its disposal.
