Day 1

A very early arrival in Cambridge and a short sleep. Breakfast, then off to the charming Corpus Christi College Chapel for a lunchtime recital. Wow what an atmosphere! Group lunch at the Royal Cambridge Hotel followed, as well as a stroll in the old town. Then a unique choral experience: attending evensong, first at King´s College Chapel and then at St John´s. Dinner and another walk close the day.
Day 2

Strolling around Cambridge´s centre and its several colleges took up a whole morning. Then off was the choir for Pakefield. Lowestoft. A late lunch at the Jolly Sailors was followed by a walk along Pakefield`s magnificent coast leading to the Pakefield historic church on the cliff. The choir had a rehearsal before moving on to the parish hall for a welcome drink. Then it was concert time, together with the Pakefield Singers and the Waveney Winds. It was an evening of unreserved plaudits for the Gaulitanus! Off were then the choir members for home hosting by members of the Pakefield Singers.
Day 3

Breakfast in the homes. Off to Southworld for a relaxing morning in the gorgeous seaside village on Britain´s east coast, followed by lunch at its landmark, the pier. Transfer to Framlingham and a breathtaking walk around its magnificent castle. Coffee time in the village square and a rehearsal at the magnificent church of St Michael´s the Archangel – which boasts of splendid acoustics. This was followed by a wonderful and extremely well-received concert mainly of Maltese music, organized Seraphim, the Suffolk-based professional vocal group. The long day ended with a transfer to Norwich.
Day 4
After breakfast, the choir members had the opportunity to do some sightseeing around the charming cobbling streets of Norwich. Then all were off to the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, the second largest RC cathedral in Britain. The choir was welcomed by Daniel Justins, the Director of Music for the East Anglia Diocese, who also took the choir for a guided tour around the cathedral. A rehearsal and a coffee break were followed by a great concert, which was very enthusiastically received by the audience – which, happily, also included quite a few Maltese who live in Norfolk. This brought the choir´s artistic commitments in this exciting concert-tour to a grand ending. A group meal, some further sightseeing and socializing rounded the day. Tomorrow, the choir makes its return to Gozo.
