This Sunday, December 7th, the Gaulitanus Choir will be giving a concert of Sacred Music at St Augustine Church, Victoria, Gozo.
The concert, another edition of the ‘Tota Pulchra’ annual concert (held in parallel with the feast of the Immaculate Conception, the ‘Tota Pulchra’ herself), is organised by the Cultural Council within the Ministry for Gozo & Planning. Starting at 19:30hrs, entrance is free. No pre-booking is needed, but one can reserve a seat by phoning the Cultural Office on 22156705/8.
The choir, led by its founder-director, Colin Attard, will be performing a very varied repertoire – ranging from Marian excerpts to sacred works and to some of the best-loved international religious songs, while also giving a taste of seasonal numbers. Some of the works or arrangements are performed exclusively by the Gaulitanus Choir.
Whereas the Gaulitanus was already involved in a previous edition of ‘Tota Pulchra’ – when its soloists featured in the 2022 edition -, for the choir, this Sunday’s will be the first public event after the special 35th anniversary celebratory concert it recently gave at San Anton Palace in honour of H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta.
