After a comparatively late breakfast, the final rehearsal with the festival orchestra for the evening’s concluding Soiree de Gala awaited us at the Theatre Municipal.
Lunch followed. The continuous rain in the afternoon somewhat disrupting the various sightseeing plans. Hence, most opted to relax in their hotel rooms.
Early in the evening, all participants checked in at the Theatre for the festival’s big final night. The Gaulitanus Choir’s slot accompanied by the festival orchestra was one of the evening’s very high points and was very well-received by the big audience which filled the Theatre Municipal.
A joint farewell post-concert dinner for all the participating groups followed. Of course, the festive atmosphere was electrifying.
