The Kor Malta concert, originally scheduled for late November as part of the festival’s ‘A Cappella Live’ series in the atypical 15th edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, is now being held on Sunday 22nd January at 19:30hrs at St. Augustine Church, Victoria.
In November the event was postponed at the eleventh hour as the Gozo ferry had cancelled its service on the day. It will now be the last live event in the festival’s 15th edition.
The national choir will be performing in Gozo for the first time ever. Under the direction of its conductor Riccardo Bianchi, it will be presenting a most varied and unique sacred repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary, entitled ‘Sacrae Cantiunculae’.
Entrance to the concert is free and no reservations are required.
The EFFE-labelled festival, which is organised by the Gaulitanus Choir and artistically directed by Colin Attard, is principally supported by the ICOG programme of Arts Council Malta and the Ministry for Gozo.
