The Gaulitana production of Verdi’s Otello will be launched this Saturday during a seminar at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Valletta. Being held between 11.00 and 13.00hrs, this will be held jointly with the Manoel Theatre, who in turn will be presenting Rossini’s version of Shakespeare’s drama.
The seminar will feature the artistic directors of Gaulitana and the Manoel, Colin Attard and Kenneth Zammit Tabone respectively, the stage conductors of both operas, namely Enrico Castiglione and Vivien Hewitt, as well as the two conductors, Colin Attard and Marco Mencobini.
The general public is invited to attend. Entrance is free.
