Gaulitana shall be providing an exclusive Shuttle Service for opera patrons for the operatic production La Traviata.
Verdi’s best-loved opera will be staged on the 29 April at 19.30hrs at the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora featuring a stella cast led by Francesco Meli, Ekaterina Bakanova and Piero Terranova.
Colin Attard conducts the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Gaulitanus Choir in a production directed by Enrico Castiglione inspired by the flower associated with the oeuvre – the camellia.
La Traviata marks the return to live opera Gaulitana in grand style following a number of virtual operatic series. The event will be held under the distinguished patronage of H.E. George Vella, President of Malta.
The service will run from the Mgarr Ferry Terminal to Aurora at 18.45hrs, following the arrival of the 18.15hrs ferry. The return leg will run at the end of the opera from in front of the theatre.
