The Gaulitanus Choir, the organiser of the festival, will take the stage itself in John Stainer’s very famous, most poignant and beautiful oratorio, “The Crucifixion”.
This meditation on the passion of the Holy Redeemer, will also feature tenor Alan Sciberras, bass-baritone Louis Andrew Cassar, and the festival’s artist-in-residence Alexander Frey on the organ, under the direction of Gaulitana artistic director Colin Attard.
The concert is being held on election day, Saturday 26th March, at Gharb Basilica at 19.30hrs in collaboration with the Gharb Local Council.
This big occasion will be the festival’s third and final Lent-themed event.
Entrance to the concert is free. Reservations: bookings.gaulitana@gmail.com.
