ULTRA-SON Flute Duo & Traditional Instruments – France/Egypt

The OPERA+ Weekend opened with an exotic journey with Ultra-son, setting the tone for the three days of musical excellence.

The eclectic repertoire, also performed with a variety of traditional instruments, featured Coptic sacred hymns and ancient Egyptian tunes as well as Romantic French works.

Gaulitana came to a conclusion with a concert starring Mina Ghobrial in Mercadante’s charming Flute Concerto.

The Gaulitanus String Orchestra performed a number of popular works in a fitting ending to a month-long cultural bonanza.
