The day was spent in Kuldīga, the charming medieval west Latvian town. After an almost 3 hour drive from Riga, the choir was offered a guided tour of the town, which boasts of the widest waterfall in Europe.
After lunch the choir members enjoyed some relaxing free time before moving to St. Catherine Church, the state-protected Evangelical Lutheran church which is also the oldest place of worship in Kuldīga.
Following an intensive rehearsal, the Gaulitanus Choir gave its second performance in Latvia – during which the choir members also wore the choir’s new scarves and ties for the first time.
The concert, held in collaboration with the Rāte choir, was attended by an extremely warm audience led by Pastor Viesturs Pirro, which thoroughly enjoyed the concert of Maltese music. After the concert Mro Colin Attard presented the pastor with a CD of the choir.
After dinner in Kuldīga, the choir started its long return drive to Riga.
