‘A Cappella Live’ continues on Sunday 27th November at 19:30hrs with a sacred concert given by Malta’s national choir, Kor Malta – who will be appearing in Gozo for the first time.
Under the direction of resident conductor Riccardo Bianchi, Kor Malta will present ‘Sacrae Cantiunculae’, a concert of unaccompanied sacred music bridging from the Renaissance to the contemporary. Featuring a variety of compositions ranging from Monteverdi to Biebl, and from traditional Norwegian to Maltese composer Benigno Zerafa, most works will probably be performed in Gozo for the first time ever.
The concert will be held at the Visitation Basilica, Għarb, in collaboration with the Għarb Local Council.
Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, an EFFE-labelled festival organised by the Gaulitanus Choir and artistically directed by Colin Attard, is supported by the ICOG programme of Arts Council Malta and the Ministry for Gozo.
