Paris – Corsica Concert Tour Day 1 – A day in Paris to remember

It was an early rise for the Gaulitanus choristers: 3.30am ferry to catch a flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle. First stop was at the Église de la Madeleine where we had a logistics rehearsal to discover the acoustics of the place. Sightseeing and lunch in the very centre of Paris followed. A short pre-concert rehearsal led to our first major commitment. Indeed, the concert at the magnificent Église de la Madeleine was a thing to remember – great ambience, great acoustics, a very receptive audience led by officials from the Maltese Embassy in Paris, and great enjoyment for one and all. Soon after the concert we left to Orly Airport for our flight to Bastia, Corsica. A very late dinner preceded a well-deserved night sleep.
