DAY 5:
This was a free day, with members opting either to visit Vicenza, Palladio’s sumptuous city, or to have a final glimpse of Venezia and its glorious sights.
In the afternoon, the choristers met at the hotel to commence their return journey: a private coach to the Venezia-Treviso airport, a Ryanair flight to Malta, a coach transfer to Cirkewwa and a late-night ferry crossing to Gozo, bringing the choir’s 21st venture abroad and its 1st in the Veneto region to an end.
The concert tour followed an invitation from the Associazione Vivaldi Festival, ensuing from the choir’s international networking as a result its Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, and saw the choir performing once more at another three highly prestigious venues/events – very shortly after the choir’s reputable Vienna concert tour last December.
