Dorian Hendriks … till we meet again
Very sadly, the Gaulitanus Choir mourns the demise of choir member Dorian Hendriks. She passed away in her native country, the Netherlands, where she had been for the last weeks.
Dorian was a “proud member of Gaulitanus” (… quoting her own words from one of the latest emails …) for quite some years. Having integrated so well in Gozo – which became her adopted home –, she was one of the most pro-active choir members, also joining for some concert tours abroad. She was particularly attentive when it came to the development of the choir’s social aspect, also serving as the choir’s welfare and social officer.
Her cheerful, optimistic and resilient spirit, which she kept projecting throughout her quite long illness, was and remains an inspiration to one and all. This was as evident as ever during the choir’s last concert in September, which Dorian enjoyed doing so much.
May her soul rest in peace. Condolences to her husband Frank and her family.
